Yesterday I got an email saying a payment was made from my paypal account for some protein powder to value of about $70 to be delivered to an address in California. I contacted paypal and they have opened a fraud investigation, also changed my passwords for most of my main things like email, ebay etc. From looking at paypal it looks like this item has been dispatched and even has tracking.

Anyone any idea what has happened here? Has someone gotten my paypal password? If so why not go town with my account?

If the transaction is in your paypal account that means that they have your email address and password, maybe they start with a small transaction and move to higher value if not noticed.

Make sure that you always logon to your paypal, bank etc account by typing the address in the address bar, never using links received by email.

You should check your computer or any computer you logged on recently to paypal for spyware and viruses just in case.

Can you contact the store it was purchase from to stop delivery?
