    HI

    I am thinking of buying this commercial X5 with 122,000 on the clock for €8,950. Is there anything in particular with used X5's i should be looking out for?

    I think auto box would be my biggest worry on this car, more so if it has tow bar and no service history. Friend had one auto box failed, €2k repair.

    Presumably, it's diesel and automatic and the E53 version. To protect yourself, you'll need to do some diligence on the service history. Transmission might require servicing or repairs.

    X5 can be hard on steering bushes and if larger/upgrade wheels are fitted tyre replacement costs will be stiff.

    Commercial vehicle suggests that it has pulled a lot of trailers, so rear shock absorbers might be shot to pieces.
