Should I wear my Moon Boot to an interview?

I'm recovering from a broken foot. Bones are all healed, but the cast only came off last week so I walk with a defined limp until my muscles strengthen again.

I have an interview (Executive Assistant role for SME property company) on Friday and am trying to decide if I should wear my Moon Boot or not. I'm not required to wear it 24/7.

My thought process right now is:
    1. Wear it! It's a great opening talking point and something memorable.
    2. But I want to be remembered for my work skills, not my temporary medical device.
    3. What if it creates a bad impression and they think I'll be a liability?
    4. I can explain away the Boot, but what if they don't ask me about the limp? Will a limping candidate be a turn-off?

    Thoughts, anyone?

This might sound weird, but if I interviewed someone who had a moon boot on and they made absolutely no mention of it and said it's nothing, just an accident, it's nearly healed and it doesn't bother them, I'd be impressed and think they are mentally strong.

I'd prefer that to someone limping for some unknown reason. Especially for an executive assistant role.

Ya - if you're gonna have a limp anyway, it's best to have a "reason" for it.

I read an interesting article on LinkedIn yesterday. Basically saying that pretty much everyone they interview will have the work skills these days. And the interviewers will find it hard to remember who was who after a few interviews. So it's best to give them something to remember you by that makes you stand out from the other candidates - and a moon boot (=temporary) would be perfect IMHO.

Wear the boot and explain it. It will make you more memorable and it's perfectly reasonable to mention it.
On the other hand if you start explaining a limp, you look like you're making excuses IMO.

Let us know how you get on!

I say go for it one year while doing the Movember thing I got an interview for a world renowned company,At the time i didn't know if I should shave it off or leave it.As I had a lot of people sponsoring me
I ended up going to the interview with the tache and explained to the people interviewing me that I was normally clean shaving etc(even though my mates reckoned I looked like chopper read:eek:),Anyway I managed to land the job.
