    I am not 100% sure, but are there not bye laws about placing objects on lampposts and electricity/phone poles in Ireland?

    Also, I did not see him lock the bike on to the device, so a big stick would do the job .....

    it would be like a red rag to a bull - there would be scrotes lining up to kick footballs at the bike to try knock it down

    Agree with you both Bigboy and James.

    I can think of two more problems:

    1. What would you do during elections? (hey there is a second use for it - stick some blades on it and it could bring down all the posters in one go?!)
    2. Imagine having to wait for a second cyclist to return before you could bring your bike down?

    Still think it is a pretty cool idea though!!
