Working on Shetland Islands

Hi Folks,

I'm going to be working and living on the shetland islands on a 4 on and 2 off rotation (the off will be back home in Ireland)

I'm wondering how the tax will work?

Will I be paying the tax in England or Ireland
Or if you have any other information as how to go about it in the most beneficial way

Might be paying tax in scotland depending on how certain votes go :P

Seek professional advice. Probably UK tax will be due.

Petrofac or Randridge?

PAYE is an A1 portal document (E101) form, you will have to get a NI number, takes about 4 weeks.

Or go self employed sole trader.
