Looking at heating systems at themoment. Plans for a dormer bungalow with only downstairs being finished initally. Havent started build yet. We are thinking air to water linked to ufh downstairs and a stove with wrap around boiler linked to possibly four to five rads upstairs..

can you mix a system like this or will it go against each other

You could, but why would you want to?

Two different heat sources, and both heating different heat emitters.

There is also a cost point of view.

I would just let the heat pump do the lot.
