Anyone know the Jim fellow in the inorganic chemistry practicals this evening......looks like he had a trip to a Head Shop before the practical <:o)

Jim Cotter probably, an absolute legend, you should ask him about his passion for trad music, if you're lucky like we were, you could possibly convince him to go on a night out to Carbon!

Ya he might know all about trad/soccer but he hasn't a clue about chemistry.............he gave me instructions on how to calculate concentrations which were completely wrong and I wasn't the only one; only for Dr Andrea and Nora the invigilator I would have got zero in my practical write up................I come back to the original point was he doped or just drunk?

    And the answer is...........STUPID :p

OMG Dr Hook you are soooooooo right had my inorganic practical this afternoon and had the privilege of meeting Jim Clotter or is it Cotter.............without even prompting him he came over and gave us this lecture on safety and chemistry it was just out of the blue it was MAD............I think he fancied my partner who's male ohhhhhhhhhh god help him........
Anyways Jim must be 107 years old how would he ever get into carbon? Really I’d say carbon wasn’t discovered when he did chemistry..........thanks to Kasia great invigilator.

Jim is there for comic relief I always liked to think! We invited him to the college bar last year for the Science faculty party, showed up and had a few drinks with him, brought him with us to Carbon and explained to the bouncers and they laughed and let him in as well. Can't say he helped me too much in the labs, but always lightened the mood for everyone :)
