    Hi,
So much info on here and online my head is befuddled! I am thinking of buying a stovax stockton view 8 HB insert. Does anyone have one of these or know if they are any good please? I dont like the look of many stoves and just want something simple to go into existing fireplace with back boiler. Many thanks, sharon.

Cant find any information on this stove online? Only a freestanding stove with that name but the boiler is very small. Only heat around 5 rads (4ft Singles).
How many rads you looking to heat?

Its in the stovax brochure, page 82 has the insert version. Its supposed to give 4.9 kw to room and 8.2 kw to boiler, covers 9 rads. I only have 6 rads so reckon it wld be ok. Conflicting info as fordes recommend and murphys do not!
Another one i was looking at on line is the boru 600ib considerably cheaper and supporting irish jobs as they are made here in thurles. I like the idea of supporting our own if quality is as good. Think the boru ones are steel and stockton cast iron. Various conflicting info on which is best! I just prefer the simpler lines, without decorative bits if u get me!
My rads are just over 4ft long, house is zoned, underfloor downstairs, rads upstairs. Putting stove in sitting room just to make place more efficient and thought it may as well be heating rads too(upstairs much cooler ) so have to get it piped for back boiler which can be done easily enough. Sitting room sometimes gets too hot with normal fire so underfloor usually off in that room. Free standing stove would melt us and i dont have the space as room narrow where fireplace comes out.
Would have been ideal to hook it to underfloor system but as that a closed system its not recommended. I have to change the cylinder as well so its all adding up to be more costly than anticipated! Anyway i really posted just to try and find a good plain insert that will do the job! Many thanks. Sharon.

Just checked there against the free standing ones u looked at. It seems to be similar to the 8HB.
