Self Build Safety Statements

Hi All

It honestly seems like i have a new question everyday apologies.

We are doing a 39 sqm single story extensions to the rear and side of our house. I am trying to find out our requirements re health and safety i believe i need a Preliminary Health & Safety document and completion of AF1 and AF2. Would anyone be able to shed some light on this, have a template for a Preliminary Health & Safety document.

as client its your responsibility to appoint a PSDS (project supervisor design stage)if required. the PSDS prepares the preliminarily H&S plan and passes it to the PSCS (project supervisor construction stage)

Did your design Arch/Eng inform you of your responsibility to appoint a PSDS ?

Hi Brian

It really a very straight forward run of the mill extension with nothing complicated or out of the norm. I will be hoping to fulfill as many of these roles as possible without having to incur extra costs that aren't going into bricks in a wall budget is very tight.

Yes Brian have read through the document you linked too
and yes by the time the build is proceeding i will ensure i am competent to carry out this role for an extremely small scale extension
