Yeah but if they do get an offer, it'll be a swap for a half-eaten Kit-Kat, even when the ad specifically says no swaps.

Old electronic equipment seems to be the worst..... They become "vintage" and become very valuable. I'm not talking working tube amps or radios, no sir. I'm talking those 80's v-tech toys and casio keyboards. All because some hip and happenin kids decide that it's cool to own them again.

Old furniture that''s been "upcycled" - Annie Sloaned (a type of mad expensive paint), sanded down to make it look worn and then "vintage" stenciled on it. I don't get it.

I'd have to agree with electronics. Especially video games and consoles. a lad selling a PS1 on adverts for €40 going on about it being super-rare when i can buy one in the shop for €15.

I can understand it on adverts, since there is the facility for adding comments and people start high and work down. So its like an auction to the bottom.

I was selling/ getting rid of a wooden kitchen it was grand just too big for the new house, anyway put it on donedeal for 30 euro. I picked the prick out of my head.

When I looked on donedeal I could not believe the prices people were looking for tatty piece's of furniture. I had the table sold in less than 24hours.

The other day I sow dude selling old office chair, table and ancient laptop on local Facebook "trade and sale" page. It was rough chair, but I broke my one, so I though "feck it, I'll grab it for tenner and do him a foivour".
So I got reply from him and he wanted 50eu for it!!!! Brand new office chairs like that go for 35eu online! Some people live in lialia land.

In the end I sow a broken office chair at work. I asked of I could take the top of it as my one broke and they have no need for it anyway. I got what I needed and spent zero euro. Mcgiver style! :pac:

Annoying when people insist on selling an unlocked year old phone for €200 when it's €159 new and when told this by many users making decent offers, then tell them to go and buy it there then.

Sometimes I think people on Adverts don't have the items they are selling also and are just listing stuff for the craic. Seen a guy with a bluetooth speaker yesterday tell someone that they decided to keep it after all as you can't have enough bluetooth speakers.

Adverts is handy but using it regularly to sell stuff makes you want to become a mass murderer.
