Joint Bank Account Question

Sorry if this is obvious, but this is new to us!

Myself and my partner opened a joint current account a couple of weeks ago.
I'm changing the payment details for our bills (Electric ireland is already in my name, for example). When asked for the new a/c number, name on the account, etc, can I give my own name only?
Or do I have to put both names down?

Any info would be great, thanks :)

    Hi Bradt Pitt,

    Thanks for post.

We would advise including both account holder names, when a joint account is being used for payments.

Please let us know if there's anything else we can help with.

    Thanks

    Billy
