    Died aged 75.

Will be missed by everyone in racing, great character and fought plenty of illness over the year.

I always remember his celebration of Baron De Feypo, who came 3rd, in Cheltenham in 2007. You would think he was after winning the race. A brilliant character and a proud Monaghan man. RIP.

As well as being a tremendous character, a doughty survivor of repeated illness and a warm and kind-hearted human being, Oliver Brady was a very shrewd businessman and a fine trainer of racehorses. Shocked to hear this news as almost thought of him as indestructible. Rip

One of the countries true characters. There seems to be less and less of them. RIP.

RIP OLiver. One in a million and always told the punters if he fancied his horses.

    True story.

it must have been 15 years ago when a gang of my cronies all went up to Ballinrobe for the races one Sunday after a fierce session in Galway the night before. Needless to say, one of the lads driving ended up crashing into a horse box as we were driving into the course. Despite it being our lads fault (could still have been half cut!), Brady hops out and making sure everyone was alright. He takes a look at the car then and says "Well lads, that'll cost a fair bit to fix but I think I can get that sorted for you. Back Ansari, the horse has just won and is going brilliant, it cannot be beat" . Needless to say, between all of us, we had the guts of 2.5k on it. Race came and went, horse finished 2nd, we were crushed. Next thing you know, just as we're about to leave the course without a penny in any of our pockets, announcement that the winner was thrown out and that our horse had come first. Que maniac cheering and all of us land over to the parade ring and are going ballistic cheering Brady.

My Uncle met Oliver this time last year at a charity do and on hearing the Uncle was a racing fanatic he invited him to visit the yard gave him the office number and got him to write his number on a bit of paper. The Uncle not being pushy never arranged the visit not wanting to bother the man. Early december the phone rings and its Oliver asking why he had not come to the yard. A week later a full morning was spent in the yard.

    Rip Oliver.

    RIP Oliver Brady.

One of the sport's boldest and brightest characters. It very much came across to me that Brady cared more about the happiness of others than that of himself as he routinely shouted from the rooftop of his horses chances - a feat never seen by other trainers. He seemed to adore helping others win a few quid at the expense of the bookies.

Nobody can doubt the man's passion and commitment for racing. One of a kind, and will be sorely missed.
