Don't know if anyone is on boards at this time but not sure where to get help,i got Ford focus 99 wont start coz the immobilizer i think has come on and it wont turn with the key, there is also a red light on inside that wasnt there yesterday,am nearly certain its the immobilizer as the central locking isnt clicking like it usually does.

Does anyone have any idea what i can do as i need to be somewhere very soon and have no other transport any ideas much appreciated.

Did you do anything to the key recently ?

Do you have a spare key someone could bring to you ?

Try to change the battery in your key if you can. As far as I'm aware, the immobiliser will do a periodic check on the chip in the key to ensure that it's still in the ignition, to prevent hotwiring.

    Possible low battery?

Yeah was the battery, dunno how it went from being a seemingly perfect battery yesterday to stone flat this morning when i left no lights/radio on but thats what the problem was thanks for ur help.
