Does anyone know what this thing is called? It connects to the waste water pipe under the sink and connects the washing machine outlet pipe to the drain under the sink?

Made the massive mistake of buying a straight rather than curved one like this.Only thanking jaysis I was in when it cracked. The straight one cracked under the pressure. This is the old one that I lost and has only surfaced (under the couch :o). It's meant to have a twisty valve thing at the top too.

This is what happened when I put a straight one on (as advised by Woodies!!)

It should be possible to slide the nut off the straight one and put it onto the angled one.
I think that they call them waste pipe adaptors, just take that into any plumbers/kitchen supplier and they'll sell you the correct part.
