Just trying B&Q's Irish site for info - SFA, just 'Brochures' http://www.diy.com/ie .
Their UK site http://www.diy.com/ , even their Chinese site http://www.bnq.com.cn/ has more info than their Irish site, better sticking to Woodies / Homebase I suppose

Seems B&Q musn't be making enough from ireland to warrant a proper website

B&Q Ireland nearly went out of business 18 months ago. They were in voluntary receivership.

I do agree their Irish website is a joke

Sure, and you can, for example pay €4.50 for a tube of caulk in Woodies to support their amazing website, or get it in B&Q for a euro....

You also mention Homebase, they have put even less effort in than B&Q. The only thing the Irish page on their UK site has is a store locator! At least B&Q show the special offers that are on in Ireland.

The Irish market is just too small to justify the costs of maintaining a comprehensive site without passing on the significant costs to the consumer.
