    hi all.
just looking at my angus bullocks and heifers today, and got me thinking-what is the average dead weight and grade ye get if ye finish angus? and think it would add to it if ye mentioned if they were angus out of the dairy herd, out of aax or almost purebred angus cows or out of other breeds, and age at killing.
i will put up last years factory sales tomorrow hopefully, phone is on the blink. looking at some of mine today, some i am proud of but others are o grade i'd say. mostly out of angus cows, except for 2 lmx.
have changed a few of the cows for this years calves. trying the bbx cows, although they are a bit short of height and so is the angus.
    time will tell

Bullocks out of Br Fr cows. Around 21-26mths. Average wt 325kg with a killout just over 50%.

Averaging O+ with some O= and some R-. Fat scores 3+ up.

Main thing I see is killout is poor with the angus out of dairy herds.

Only killed 2 aa bulls here last spring, Out of a limo x fr, 23 mths U-2+, 422kg dw. Other one out of a fr, 23mths, R-2= 364kg.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    would that be 3.72 (3.60 plus 0.12 bord bia) x 330kg = €1,227.60?

Is your factory ok with a fat score of 2= for fat with bulls, do they not need 2+ as a minimum?

thanks manjou, im not being nosey just never killed any in spec cattle only cull cows that were no use , so the 12cent bord bia is on top of AA bonus so 0.27 cent added to 3.85 base? 4.12 x 330 =1359.6 gross average
