Anyone every got the early-morning (eg 1:15am or 1:45am) bus to Dublin Airport recently? How busy do they get? Any need to book?

Got the 1:45am a few weeks ago. It's easier to book to be sure you have a spot but there were a lot of free seats.

You#d be unlucky to be left without a seat - but exactly that happened to me (good few years ago now). I hadn't booked - really didn't think it would be an issue. I - alongside 6-7 others were left with no transport. Was messy - was going away on a long haul trip for 5-6 weeks. Had to get someone out of their bed and have them drive me to the airport.

That's a few years ago. Ever since then, I always book.

I regularly get the 1:45 Go Bus on a Monday morning. Most times the bus isn't too packed so that I get two seats for myself. Having said that I still always make sure to book in advance.

Got them buses a few times. Last time was Friday, 2.15. Plenty of space.
At that time of night I book ahead. One time I had my ticket, I arrived at the station with 40 American students looking for a lift to Dublin airport. The people with tickets got on and then whatever space was left, was first come first served, which was the students. Don't think anyone making a flight missed out.
