So i went on the UCD website and found civil engineering level 8 honours bachelor's degree, this course interested me but its not listed on qualifax. Hope you can help here, 1.does the course exist? And 2.what are the minimum point requirements does anyone know?(it says 495-625 or something).
Also if anyone knows a different civil engineering course around Dublin id appreciate if you could help. Thanks.

Don't quote me, but I'm almost certain Engineering is common entry and then you elect to specialise. It used be a chosen entry and seperate courses, but they put it all together with the 5 year program. That said, structural and civil were always different, so they may remain on their own. Best site is the UCD one as Qualifax, while good, is second hand information.

Engineering at UCD is common for first year (they call it "Omnibus"). Basically, regardless of which kind of engineering you plan to go into, you'll be in the same class for first year and won't have to make any decision on which on you pick until the end of first year. There is one exception to this though. In addition to civil engineering, UCD have an structural engineering with architecture course and that is its own thing separate from the other types of engineering, although they will still share a lot of classes in first year.

Those points sound shockingly high, when I came in in 2011, it was around 430. I can't imagine it possibly having shot up to 625 or even 525 given how big the class is.

I think Trinners also do civil engineering in some form if you wanted to check them out too.

Yea TCD are fairly similar. 5 year course. First two years are omnibus. Specialized for the the next 2 to get your BAI. 5th year to get your MAI.
