Question about Jobs Plus

Hi everyone, I have a question about Jobs plus. I recently finished up my job bridge internship and the company I was with kept me on, so on my last day I filled in the Jobs Plus eligibility form and closed my jobseekers claim. When I submitted the form, I had been on the claim for 12 months (including the time spent on my internship). I was told that I would receive a form in the post once they approved me but it's been 5 weeks now and I haven't received anything. My employer has contacted them a couple of times and they said that they have received my form but nothing else. Does anybody know how long it takes to process these things? Has anyone had experience being on Jobs Plus before? The company I'm with are paying me normally and we assume that it will be backdated to the day I applied but I'm just wondering what the hold up is. Maybe it does take a few weeks? Any info or advice is greatly appreciated!

It took my partner a few weeks to get it as well and it was backdated.

Thanks. Was it a few weeks before they got the JP1 form which was sent in the post? Or a few weeks before everything was processed after they gave the form to their employer? I'm just wondering if it will take another few weeks after I receive the form. Thanks

It was a few weeks before he received the form he had to fill out and another few weeks on top of that before the whole thing was processed. Make sure they continue to pay you as normal while waiting, they shouldn't have to wait on the grant.

Thanks so much. One more thing... I got my JP1 form in the post today stating that I was eligible and to give the form to my employer to fill out. It says on the form that the incentive can only apply from the date that I am approved from the department and cannot be backdated. And also that payment will only issue once my jobseeker's claim has been closed. I filled out the form for Jobs Plus on August 15th though, so does that mean that it won't be backdated to then? They will only receive money from today when I received the letter? Also I closed my jobseekers claim on August 18th cause that was the date that my job bridge internship ended and I had to close it then because I was being kept on as an employee - I signed off online and the reason for signing off was 'entering employment'. Will that matter with Jobs Plus that I signed off before being approved for Jobs Plus? Sorry for all the questions!

I honestly have no idea but your employer should know all of this, it really isn't something you should have to worry about!
