Use code CELEBRATE15 at checkout where it asks for 'redemption code' when you click 'buy it now'.

Minimum spend is €35 or above. Use 3 times per customer. You need to pay by Paypal. Expires at 11.59pm tomorrow (Monday the 15th) night.

There surely has to be some T&Cs? It doesn't actually take off 15% on large-ticket items.

Just worked for me with a 400 euro DSLR camera. Great Bargain! Cheers OP

It worked for me on a €385 item just a few minutes ago. Above poster got a camera also.

I was thinking €1000+ when I meant large-ticket! There must be a limit, still pretty decent though!

We're sorry. Your PayPal account is registered in a country that isn't eligible for this discount.

    I get this error msg

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,820 ✭✭✭Villa05

Is it on .ie or .co.uk site or both.

Edit. Im getting the same msg as chris. not applicable on my paypal a/c

    Just used it, fantastic OP.

My home address is set to the North, took it no problem.
If it is not working it may be because your primary address is in the free state, might work if you set up a northern address in your profile set it to primary but set delivery address to your home address..... Just an idea, don't blame me if you screw up your account.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,922 ✭✭✭dashcamdanny

    Worked for me. Happydays.

    Thanks OP.

I am registered on UK site.

Not working for me- I'm getting the message from my Paypal and not eBay- registered to Ireland and therefore not eligible by all accounts!

so you have to commit to buying an item before knowing if the code will work?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 311 ✭✭luvlyjubbly

I tried it and when I entered the discount it looked like it was accepted and applied but then the full price was taken from my account :-(

Just contact the seller and tell them what happened. They can cancel the deal and refund you no bother.

    They said to contact PayPal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,922 ✭✭✭dashcamdanny

    They said to contact PayPal.

Did you not see the price to be charged before you signed in the Paypal?

Why did you go ahead from there.

Just checked - same here, it showed -15% at eBay checkout but full price on the paypal transaction..... still I needed the goods.

I looked on the Paypal site but there is no obvious way to open a complaint on their procedure, most complaints are about sellers or chargebacks.

Small money anyway not the end of the world

    They said to contact PayPal.

Log into your eBay account and find the purchase you made. Over at the right there should be a downward pointing arrow next to "More Actions". Click the arrow and then select "Resolve a Problem". The next page should have an option "I want to cancel a purchase".

    Sorted!

Can somebody confirm if they actually had the 15% discounted amount only taken from their account?

The price shown on the screen was the reduced price, but the email for the transaction had the higher price.

Same here. But I see I was also charged the full amount.

I contacted ebay and they said the discount was applied. The problem is with paypal.

I am awaiting a response from them.

I created a new UK paypal account with my PM address. But my credit card is Irish, and it seems to notice that. So when I try the code it says not eligible
edit:seems the code is for ebay Australia?

Code still working for Aussies. I created a Paypal Aus account yesterday. Had to verify my credit card, so just waiting for the 1.50 verification transaction to appear. Hoping it is in today.
FAIL:got the code from paypal and thought I was home and dry, but the payment is rejected. Called my bank, but they said it was't registering as an attempted transaction, so must be blocked at Paypal level.
