The 126 is the only direct Bus Eireann route I can find. Leaves Naas at 0715 and arrives at DCU at 0900. Leaves DCU at 1645 in the evening and reaches Naas at 1820.

You might be better off looking into private buses or getting two buses.

Thank you for that, the 16.45 one on a Friday would be great. Pity there's only those two buses, I checked out JJ Kavanaghs & Dublin coach but they don't go directly.

If you're coming back on Sunday evening, you could get the 126 into town (Custom House Quay) and get the 4, 9 or 13 from O'Connell Street to DCU.

You better double check those times by the way, I may have gotten it wrong.

That would be Heuston. You'd have to get 2 buses from Heuston to DCU. It might save you around half an hour over BE if you exclude waiting time for the 2 buses.
