Is there any way you can tell if a website directory offer follow or non-follow links before adding a listing?

View the source code in your browser

I thought that the source code is generally hidden in the browser. Is there another option?

Go to a web page with and existing entry. Right click and then select "view source"
A link will be of form <a href="The url" >The link text</a> If it is nofollow it will say nofollow

If you try inspect element option for particular page, it will directly show you a in inspector or by using firebug in case of Firefox.
