A friend of mine recently told me that he used to just send his CV to companies on the off chance that he would get something. He said that some of the bigger companies even have an area on their website for speculative applications. Anybody have any experience of this? Thanks in advance

I've received a good few lately, if the candidate is suitable I will keep their details and alert them to the next vacancy

A good (short) cover note is important
