desktop on left and side and cursor controls gone weird

    I was cleaning my laptop keyboard today and I pressed a button that caused the screen to lie on its left hand side, the cursor controls have gone strange too, up is like right and left is like up when I try and scroll around the cursor. Its probably a simple fix, im using windos 8. Can someone help me what to do to change it back?

    If i remember correctly it's ctrl+alt+ the arrow keys.
