    Hi,

Just a quick and possibly stupid question but here goes

My parents are flying to Spain next week....Aer Lingus

Have booked in a 25kg bag to go on the plane

My question is, what do I have to do for them to get them on the plane? Do I have to check them in, print off boarding passes.

They havent flown in years and I cant bring them to the airport (my sister is, but shes not a frequent flier)

    Thanks

You can just turn up to the airport 90 minutes to 2 hours before your flight.

Easiest way is to do all of the following online.

    1. For travel to Spain, you need to add Advance Passenger Info to their booking. Go to Manage Booking on the website and follow the menu. You can do this at any time after making your booking. Or it's easier to do it just before you check in. No difference. It's just adding basic information, you need passport numbers.

    2. Check in online between 30 and 2 hours before their flight. Print boarding passes for them to bring with passports.

    3. Go to the appropriate Bag Drop (displayed on screens) for your flight. This queue will be quicker than the other one where people are actually checking in as well as dropping bags.

    4. Off to pass security and enjoy some shopping! :D
(If they haven't flown in a while, make sure they know the rules regarding what they can take in their carry-on. They're very strict. Here's some info about liquids http://www.aerlingus.com/media/aerlinguscom/content/files/information_flier_for_air_passengers_rules_on_liquids_carried_as_hand_luggage.pdf )

OP, at the risk of being insensitive..... if you and your parents are so clueless about the procedure for getting from the door of Dublin airport to the plane, what are they going to do when they step off the plane in Spain?
