From the time the secretary sends it out its 3 days, nargc send them back by return post. That's if the secretary sends them out after getting the fees.

In our club everyone who pays before the end of July is insured for the start of the new year. Anyone who is late paying will have to wait until there are a few subs together before secretary sends them off.

You need to contact your secretary to find out if he has the card.

Our club does the same thing. There's a submission to the NARGC around once a week at this time of year.

It should be the rule for all members. If you don't have a card you don't have insurance and you shouldn't be out shooting. If you paid your sub get on to the secretary and tell him you need it now. Give him a BS story about needing it for you licence, he'll have to act then.

Have you called the secretary or visited to his house, what was his excuse for not posting them?

the cards have being issued and sent out since late august so iv no clue what the hold up is they take 3/4 days to come in the post like. i'll get on to the secretary tomorrow, waiting for the cards is a pain in the hole i know 3-4 days for them to be processed and sent out that's normal but 4/5 weeks is a joke.

With the greatest of respect you haven't even contacted the Secretary to see if he has the comp card. I would start there if I was you.

In fairness its pointless asking where your card is here on boards. The NARGC say your insured, now demand your card off the secretary.

busy with work around this time of year.

Great! make sure to attend all club meetings and work parties and pay subs before the cover runs out. I will bet if you make yourself the best club member they have, you wont have to ring up next year looking for your card.

I usually pay early to mid july but can be september before I get the card and the start date on the card can be early sept. also. A few of us complained to the secretary and were told the N.A.R.G.C. had changed the rules and only accepted one submission per year now so he had to wait till they were all in.I think its 43 in the club and not sure how many late payers there are. Its good to know this is not so anyway.

    I plink therefore I am

I am the chairman of a club in Meath and from dealing with the NARGC and the club secretary and treasurer I can tell you that the NARGC will accept fund members at any time but fund membership runs from July to the next July so your problem if you pay late and don't get the full year out of it. Our club uses the rule that once.you paid and you have your receipt from the club consider yourself in.

The renewals before the end of July get sent in batches, new joiners and later renewals as we receive them.
