Audi A6 2012 service question

My father bought one of these in March 2013 as a demo model.

It's on long life service and currently has 33000 km. AFAIK it had a service inspection when sold , not sure if oil was changed.

Is it better to change oil to a fixed service every 15000 km/year or just wait for car to tell you it needs a service? Should it use Longlife oil in this case? Advice much appreciated.

If it hasn't had an oil + filter change since March 2013 then I'd definitely have them changed now despite what the service interval says. Imo these long service intervals are only designed by manufacturers to be attractive to fleet managers.

An inspection service usually entails an oil and filter. Either way I'd be religious about doing it every 15k km max.

I would agree. It's better to change oil every 15k km. I've never used the Long Service Interval on my Audi and it has 215k miles on it without any engine issues.
