Hinges for Advent Monza N1

    Hey guys, anyone any idea where I can get hinges for an Advent Monza N1.

    Usually have no problem sourcing hinges but these ones seem to be like hens teeth.

    The hinges themselves were fine but the support arms that go up the side of the LCD panel to support it had both snapped. They come as one piece tho I believe so all need replacing as a whole.

    Chassis number for the laptop is: A15RM03

    You can see from the photo attached what they look like.

    Look at the side of the support end of the hinge you will see a serial number. Use this on eBay or Google and you will probably get a better result. But in fairness they are hard to come by and expensive at that. As you say they break on the supporting arm near a screw hole which is the weak point. I had a job with these not so long ago and could not justify paying the cost of them. In the end I did a repair by bracing across the break. This was an incredibly awkward job to do and not really worth it from my point of view in the end. I only considered it because it was a loyal customer for years so its fair to be fair. Different models of advent also use these hinges or hinges that can be slightly adapted to suit so best of luck in your search
