USC Query:

    Hi

Would anyone be able to help me and give some advice as what to do with regards my USC?

I realised I have not been paying USC over the past month as I never look through my payslip and also I have never gone over the 10,066 amount before. This week looking at a another persons payslip I now notice that I should be paying, but I am leaving the company and my last payslip is due on the 30th.

I'm travelling to the states for a year at the end of the month and wont be in Ireland when I receive my last payslip. I looked at my p60 and I have 0.00 USC charged for 2013 so I understand that my employer would not have updated my USC because the revenue would have to inform them that I should be charged.

My question is if my employer looks at my P45 and see that I have not been paid USC will they deduct the cash from my final payslip? or do they have the rights to do that?

Or will they leave my USC to be deducted from my next employer?

Should I hope to the gods that my pay will be left the way it is and ill have to deal with it when I come back?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks
