Mac book pro questions and advise

    Hi all,

    So I'm interested in buying my self a MacBook Pro as my old laptop isn't working anymore.

    Iv been told that's the MacBooks are a great laptop the best out there and we'll worth getting one as will last me a long time and they have everything ect.

    Then iv been told there not good they break easy and there hard to use ect.

    So I want to know what people have to say about these and are they good and is it worth getting one ?

    No not for gaming just want to have a good laptop that will last me some years and just want it for general use ?

    I had a macbook pro for about 6 years so it's lasts a good while - if you take care of it

    A MBP 15 Pro (Retina) running OSX/Windows in a dual boot is a pretty nice combination. Apple make fine hardware but not everyone is a fan of OS X.

    Alternatively, a new XPS 15 w/ the QHD display or a high-end Dell Precision or something like a HP ZBook would be at the same level of quality with possibly better spec.

    Ok thanks for that . I'm interested in the mac book pro retina display and have been told nothing but good about it and ATM there is 100€ off it too which is good :) but I just want some that had everything I need and more plus no worries about virus ect so that's why wanted to know is it worth going for as want something to last me a good few years?
