My NCT will be out of date by the time my driving test comes (in a week) but I've booked the nct for November as that's the earliest date I could get. Will I be allowed to sit my driving test or will I have to cancel it?

For those busily preparing for the driving test, motor tax, NCT and insurance can sometimes slip under the radar. So remember, you must have a current motor tax disc, a current insurance disc and a valid NCT disc (if required) clearly on display, a confirmation booking will not suffice.

You don't have many options at this stage. Can you hire your driving instructors car?

    I've already re-scheduled a few times so if I re-schedule this time I lose my 80 euro.

If you can't get the NCT sorted, see can a your/another ADI let you do it in their car. Yes it'll cost, but it may be an option
