Zenith Ideas - not a real company

    Hi there,

I'm just posting this here so that nobody else has their time wasted.

I saw a post on Monster for a job with a company called Zenith Ideas. They said they had a Graduate Trainee position for those interested in Sales and Marketing. I sent in an application to them, as well as loads of other vacancies listed, and heard back from them a few days later.

A lovely women called Anne rang me to schedule a first-round interview for today. She suggested that I look at their social media, website etc to learn more about the company. When I did, I found them to be a relatively new company, March 2014, so I presumed they were a start-up company who maybe got some funding to expand their business.

    How wrong was I!

Took a day's leave from my own job to go to this interview. First off he took people two at a time to interview, but I've been in group interviews before so I didn't think it that strange. I did find it odd that it was only himself doing the interviews, that his application forms that we filled out were very haphazard. He asks us one or two regular interviewy questions before saying "I earn €5000 a week, work three to four hours a day and I'm my own boss. Do you want this job?" He must have thought he sounded like the Wolf of Wall Street or something the way he went on for the next twenty minutes. The whole thing is a scam, this guy [NAME MOD-SNIPPED]was telling us that Zenith Ideas is a sub company of a massively successful company owned by a guy from Lebanon, that he himself works 4/5 hours a day and makes €5000 a week and that he's looking to expand his business. But he couldn't answer any of my questions about their Irish clients, what his business actually does and to top it off, he tried to push some conference on me (which I presume was where we would meet the people at the top of this little pyramid). He never mentioned the Graduate Trainee position, never gave a straight answer, the whole thing was just ridiculous.

As soon as I went into the interview I knew it was bull****, but I had already wasted a day's leave, so for anyone who sees sales, telesales, marketing or any other kinds of jobs advertised by this company DO NOT APPLY it is just a complete waste of time. There were people there from all college/work backgrounds, all ends of the country and all very eager to find work. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, and I felt I had done enough research on this place to think the job was legit but evidently not. Feel really stupid, but at feel better putting it out there so nobody has their time wasted.
    Failed to load the poll.
