Does anyone else have this problem? I am really sick of it. At least half of my DVDs come loose in the post and so arrive terribly scratched. I don't understand why manufacturers don't do something to stop this from happening.

I often got broken cases, no scratched ones though. Do you complain to the online shop I remember some places sending my out replacement copies and telling me to keep the broken one, either cdwow or play.com. If this happened a lot or they got complaints you would think they could come up with something, however it might mean opening the shrinkwrap to put something inside the case, like a bit of sponge.

The click in device in the middle is woeful on some cases.

Yeah I remember from when I was big into collecting DVDs that it would upset me greatly. My heart sank when I grasped the box and heard it flying around inside. Thank God for digital downloads.

Only twice ever that I can remember. Have received dvd's where the supporting clicky-thing inside keeping it in place was broke. The dvd's arrived loose inside the cover, but never scratched though.

Also bought & paid for used dvd's that have arrived 'as new' in original packaging :)

Another problem now is that if you buy it from amazon you can't return it for a replacement any more. Now they only let you return it for a refund. It's all automated and the only option is for a refund. This is a bugger for me t the moment as I've been buying somewhat difficult to get hold of ones that only seem to be available direct from amazon.

Never knew that. I wonder if that's to do with their 'Prime - free delivery' t&c. Pay a lickle extra from another buyer and it's easier to replace then if needed

    Thanks for that info,
