With actual floss, or paper/wrappers etc? I've seen people use a bit of paper but never actual floss!

    Sure, they're all doing it.

Not as bad as nose-picking or putting your hand down your pants and then giving it a sniff. But it's up there.

    I'm a championship winning flosser.
I've plaque on my wall to prove it...

What if someone brushes their teeth in public? Would that be ok?

What about the girl who was trying out various earphones out in tkmaxx yesterday? I hope she found a pair that sounded ok. Can never be too sure.

I saw a guy in CeX in Dublin a while ago who was really annoyed that they wouldn't buy second hand in-ear earphones off him.

    Ugh. Ugh. Ugh.

Also - flossing? Sure that's pure sh*te anyway. Granddad Gummy never flossed and he did well in life, went on to own and operate his own turnstile.

always feel so smug when I tell them there's no scientific evidence that flossing is worth your time ;) can we make this thread about that now?

Course it is! Did you ever do it then sniff the floss after? I have (not in public)! It stinks! Can only be a good thing getting that stinky shizzle outta your gums.

even though if you don't do it, you're leaving half the dirt on your teeth behind

can't post links but the first result for 'No evidence for flossing' should put this to bed for us.

But how else are you supposed to know what it smells like down there?

I've had a few people tell me flossing is a waste of time, or at least I think that's what they were saying but there was an awful whistle coming from their missing teeth and cavities so we can't be sure

I was sitting outside a restaurant in the UK and the woman at the next table kept doing this. She was at a work lunch and the person with her was seemed to be some client that she was really giving a pitch to.
