Its easy to find - scroll down to the end

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    Joeytheparrot....

I've had a look and it says 3.80 for a packet and 25.50 for a parcel..... would a phone be a packet or a parcel?

    Depending how you pack it.
The Packet rate of postage caters for items within the following
    dimensions.
    Dimensions:
    Minimum dimensions: 100mm(L) X 70mm(H) X 25mm(D).
Maximum dimensions: for a packet are a combined length, height and depth of 900mm. No individual dimension can exceed 600mm, with a tolerance of 2mm.
In tube form the maximum dimensions are the length plus twice the diameter 1,040mm with no one dimension exceeding 900mm, with a tolerance of 2mm.
    Weight:
Items which qualify for the Packet rate of postage must weigh no more than 2kg.

And remember, no batteries allowed. Airlines won't carry them.

That's why you don't mark it down as a mobile phone

Returning a faulty item that you bought online to China?

You might as well feck it into the nearest river for all the good it'll do you.

Yup - just write on it "Mystery Electronic item". They send them cheaper.

I would generally agree with this, but some sellers do look after returns properly. The costs involved in returning them (registered) tends to make it barely worthwhile though.

And if it goes missing you would only receive compensation for DVDs. So if the plane blew up you would lose your phone ! :D

I'd say yer man was gutted when he read "DVDs" and then all chuffed when an iPhone emerged.

dealextreme are good, you can send photos of broken items and sometimes they just tell you to keep it. I had sellers tell me to keep fake memory cards too.

One poster had to send an iphone to the US and I think it was €75 or so, because of the battery via DHL.
