does anyone know what time the stand/exhibitors wind down each day at the ploughing.

under pressure at work to get a day off so thinking of heading for a few hours in the evening/late afternoon if this was feasible (only 45 mins from it).

I would be able to get there for 5pm but not much good if shutting at 6.

Lot would finish earlier than 6 on the last day, rest of he time I think it's 6pm. Maybe take a half day from work?

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

If you got there for 3pm on first or second day And only had a few specific stands to see then that would he fine.

If they ran it on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, I should think they would get a lot more people in the gates.

Why not? its all about profit at the gate, at the end of the day. Farming interests are just the Unique Selling Point.

if the people who had nothing todo with farming didn't go then it would be a great show where people could do business, but entrance fee greed has taken over

Agreed, I wish they'd have a designated day for the school kids and non farming crowd, "ethnic cleansing" I know, but I'd say the people running the stands would like that as well so they could hide the biscuits and freebies!

its a pity it isnt wed - Sunday and have the wednesday just for schools and 3rd level. get them out of the way then

The saturday and sunday would suit loads. If your working you dont find your 20days disappearing over the year with a few days for weddings and kids and xmass etc.

anyway site does be open from 7am ish anyday i was there and latest i left was 8pm but i would try to be back in burger king in tullamore by then :D

Well its a nuisance only being held on school days. You have to either take them out of school and bring them with you (pain) or organise someone to collect from bus and mind, etc.
same with Balmoral, it also finishes on a Friday evening.

Sure if they are the only days you miss I can't see an issue. The company seems ok with it so far too
