    Rip

I liked his character, he would just appear out of nowhere.. As if James hadn't enough to deal with fighting against the Russians, Chinese or whatever.

    R.I.P

How are they scraping the barrel?!
we'r not looking for any thumbs up/thanks, just recognising a man who we all(kinda)knew. Just like all actors/actresses, singers, etc etc.....
    That's all.

Pointless praying here. Go down to your local church and do it.

These threads are a bit more about niche retro references than genuine condolence right?

I'm expecting to see a Chief Cameraman on The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams Has Passed Away thread next.

His giant presence and battles with Roger Moore got me hooked on Bond as a kid. RIP Jaws.

    Seemed like a nice guy.

    Favourite line,

    "oh, so you can count.
Yes, and you can count on me, waiting for you in the parking lot"

You're just jealous because you know there will be no RIP anncoates thread on boards when you die.

In the early/mid eighties I remember watching Bond films and peeping out from behind the cushions when Jaws was on screen. He used to frighten the bejaysus out of me.

I will out-emote anyone in an RIP thread.

    Because I feel things more.

2 hours since I read about that guy dying and I still literally feel like I've been punched in the stomach

I heard it was his last request to be buried at sea.

They're going to need a bigger boat...

go fcuk yourself. He mightn't meant anything you do but so what.

He was very well known to us and made many a christmas day for me.

Also my favourite bond villian , I always thought it was lame script writing that never had him give bond a good beating.

Only thing I remember is him floating off into space on a bond movie beside a midget girl with big knockers wearing lederhosen. Did I imagine this?

I'm devastated at the news. Had to take the rest of the day off work such was my upset. Currently drowning my sorrows in Ned's of Townsend Street. It's where this guy who died would want me to be.

I find that scene and their relationship hilarious now, showed his character had a heart, and his on screen persona taken advantage of by his bad guy bosses.

Was great to see his character brought back for a second Bond movie.

    RIP big fella.

I met him when I was a kid, got his autograph. If i'm not mistaken he lived in Ireland for a while. RIP

Offered the role of Darth Vader, but turned it down in favor of playing Jaws. He preferred Jaws because he felt he could bring more to the role, where Vader would have confined his performance by acting behind a mask.
