Foxes

Was out again this evening to have a look about as was out on Monday and I got two foxes with the shotgun on Monday. One was walking along a ditch and I waited for him to get closer before dropping him with Eley alpha 5. Nice dog fox
Second one just happened to be sniffing about beside a ditch with her back turned to me at about 20 yards. So I gave a squeak and dropped her as he looked at me. A vixen this time. Also missed one and seen another.
Tonight I came across a pair of them walking along ditch but I couldn't get close without been seen so I walked around other side of a ditch and big sika pricket walke out in front but carried on. I walked the ditch and popped out 39 yards from the dog. Vixen was gone in to ditch. So I hit him but he took off an fell into ditch. Could hear him moving about for few mins but then he stopped so I think he's dead. I will however be going up again tomoro to cut the ditch to find him. Nice big lad aswell so he was.
This .223 can't come quick enough to me.

Was out for a night flight on Friday night. All quite next thing could smell one... turned round and right there she was just along a hedge sitting looking down towards me. Had sixes loaded but she was just a little too far off. But I somehow managed to put in a 4 and knocked her dead just as she was turning round.
