Dublin Photo Walk Wednesday night Sept 17th

Anybody interested in going on a Photo Walk next Wednesday evening / night in the Dublin area ?

Sunset is at 19.33.

How about around Merrion Square, Government Buildings…… are these areas well lit?

Any other idea's………. ?

Wednesday is the 17th.

If you mean Wednesday 17th then I'm in, if however you mean Thursday 18th then sadly I'm otherwise distracted.

National Gallery on the square has a hoarding all around it (at time of posting). Back of Leinster House and the dead animal zoo are OK - lit at night.

The Pepper Canister Church is lovely and I've always wanted to wander over there for a few pics. Not 100% on how well it's lit though.

I'm looking more unlikely as have to be somewhere from 7-9 so the earliest I would be in town is 9.30pm. Did a search for a calculator online and found that

Sun set 19:37
Twilight ends 20:12 (duration 35 min)

Any point arriving at 9.30pm?!

Dame Lane has cool lights - zig zag and they're up all year round, I only noticed again on Saturday night.



Government buildings should be lit up also.
Stephen's Green shopping centre & the arch directly opposite
Ha'penny bridge & Templebar pubs - generally very well lit up

The canal could be nice too earlier - the reflections on the water and the street lamps.

I won't be there till 8'ish. Do ye have a general route plan that I can chase along to catch ye up?

If I can't find ye I'll most likely head off to shoot the Pepper canister church and the canal between Huband Bridge and McCarthy (Baggot Street) bridge.
