I'm starting to panic too, no one came to the yard, all through society sales, 3 for society sale in delvin tomorrow. all four star and very few starred rams in the sale so might go well
    It's early yet:rolleyes:

I would have thought demand would be high especially for stap rams as those who didn't use one last year have to get one this year

I had two years rams due to lambing in April last year, and January this year. Sold last hogget (cheap) yesterday at society sale, sold two hoggets at premier rest all from house this year great demand. Going by lamb trade yesterday they may be harder shifted, only 3 gone so far.

It's easy sell hoggets because there's not many for sale. breeders don't find that buyers will give the extra cost., eg if you can get 400 for a ram lamb, what would you need to justify keeping him another 12 mths, that's the way in our breed is anyway, charolais might be different.
Sold the last of the rams today,€350 each only about 50% of the rams there sold, very dead compared to last year
