Moving from JSA to freelance work?

    Hey! This question has been both asked and answered before, but the most recent match I can find is over a year old and matters may have changed since. I am currently on the Jobseekers Allowance, but where formal work offers have been thin, I have seen an increasing demand for freelance work in areas relevant to my skills.

    Is there a scheme to transition from one to the other? While I would love to move off it and freelance, the volume of work I receive currently doesn't make up the difference needed to make ends meet on things like rent.
