Has anyone ever used it and is it worth the €25 fee? We're off to NYC on Friday and since we won the holiday feel like a bit of a treat, it says 'free refreshments' and of course what I'm interested in is does that just mean tea & coffee or could a nervous passenger get a glass of wine or two included in that? Or is it really more geared towards business passengers with work stations etc?

Yes I'm pretty sure wine is available there along with a limited selection of beer and spirits. Hypothetically you could drink as much as you wish. If you rang/tweeted/facebook the airport I'm sure they will confirm the above will be available.

As far as I remember the lounge was recently renovated and all

Used it 2 weeks ago, it's fine, free wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks, etc. Not much in the line of food, only scones and snacks. If it is 25 Euro each, I wouldnt bother and spend your money in the bar.
