Thinking of getting my 2007 Passat TDI remapped. Any advice or words of wisdom ?

Of course i'd like power but some extra KM's from fuel would be great.

Best fuel efficiency map is the standard one and a sympathetic right foot.

Because they an answer that i felt was unhelpful and obvious. Save fuel by going slower.................

And it wasn't smart, it was sarcastic actually:)

    No just stating facts tbh.

    If you were after.

    1. Better throttle response.
    2. More Torque.

Then i would say fire away but for improved fuel economy alone then it's not worth it, you could offset this abit by walking now and again though i guess.

The cost of a map can be 500euro and up. That's allot of fuel.

Say you manage 5% economy improvement.....

How much do you spend a week on fuel and how long would it take to save over 500euro.

It was a fair statement if economy is your only criteria.

The second alternative is free and that is learn how to drive for economy.

If your requirement was more power not just economy then it would be a different discussion.
