JSA/BTEA and marriage

    Hi there

I am a mature student and unfortunately lost I have to repeat a module this semester. This is pushing back my finishing college by a year. It also means that my JSA is cut off until i finish my exam cause I'm not available to work. My BTEA is cut off because I have to repeat an entire year at college to get this.

I have been told that if I meet the requirement to reapply for BTEA next August then I can get it for my final year. However, I'm getting married in June.

How will marriage affect my ability to claim JSA and BTEA? Will my husbands income affect it? His income is not high and we have no savings or property.

We will postpone the wedding if it means being married means I can't finish my degree.

    Thanks
