Walked into BOI this morning on way to airport to get some currency, Asked for $2,000 & paid cash. Receipt says $2,000, Exchange rate matches up but they gave me $2,100...

I really don't know what to do, I'm so conflicted over their error...

I mean it's 5% over what I was supposed to get, an extra $100. Do I go for dinner, buy an iPod mini, change it for $1s & "make it rain", have a night on the beer, see a show?

Suck it BOI, I'm on my plane now !!!!

    Freakin' Sweet !

My head says you should take it back to the bank.

My heart says 100 x $1 and hit the titty bar.

For the craic why not get $100 in $1's and give 100 homeless people $1 each and tell them to thank BOI.

Or just go to a Titty bar and have fun :P

Worst example of robbing a bank ever.

    Successful. But rubbish

Buy a book on how to rob a bank with the €100

You probably got an awful rate anyway so they probably were only down a few quid.

Some poor schmuck wont balance their till tonight and because its out so much everyone will have to be counted and recounted. They wont be getting out early. But by the sounds of it theres no way you'll get it back to them so enjoy it

I had a similar experience once. Had just started college. The building was new, and the bank installed an ATM in November after we started. I'd opened a student account with a different bank, and had about a tenner in it. One day anyway, I went to withdraw a fiver to get some lunch. It gave me a tenner. I checked the balance to see if it was my mistake. No. Theirs. Withdrew another fiver. Got another tenner. Happy days! Legged it down to the branch to lodge twenty. Back to the ATM, and withdrew a tenner at a time. Back down with forty. I think I made four or five trips down before getting back to see a massive queue at the ATM, and deciding I probably had enough for my lunch at that point.

I get what your saying, OP. I've totally felt completely terrible about it ever since. What was I thinking at the time? I still had my lunch in the crappy canteen! Could have gone somewhere nice. :(

You should have gone to a 4 star hotel. And asked a girl student along and bought her dinner too. You could have hit it off. You blew it.

I remember selling a car to a young guy about 19. He gave me the agreed price in an envelope that he obviously just got from the Bank, so I counted it out and it had €1000 more than the agreed price. So I took mine and gave him the €1000 back. He checked his bank receipt and yes they had given him to much.

I wonder what he did with it. I suspect that the bank would quickly narrow it down to him probably been paid to much after they noticed the discrepancy when balancing up.

So I guess he would have got call from the bank and had to give it back, but not sure.

Best to ring and let them know before the Karma Gods find out and turn your plane into a fireball tumbling towards the planet earth.

PS.They'll probably figure it out anyway.

It did. Those with accounts with the same bank were caught for it.

Edit: The correct witty response would be "of all the things that never happened, this one never happened the most". Fail. :D

Spend it. Then whinge when they come looking for what's rightfully theirs, and justify it to yourself by saying it was "their error".

Here, you wouldn't get me a Lancome star bronzer on the plane would you? My mam loves them and they're really expensive to get online.

    Ah thanks, you're a pet.
