    Jaysus 43!

another pro wrestler gone far far too early.

Hopefully one of the last few times we will see such a young Pro Wrestler pass away as the new generation seem to be far healthier. Not suggesting his death is related to anything even at such a young age but he was involved in WCW & WWF back when the backstage scene was not as clean cut as it is today.

Always thought, like many others, his Devil's advocate gimmick coulda made him but then... he abondoned that persona and soon afterwards when he got injured WWE abandoned him

Sad to hear he's gone. I was also a massive fan of the Devil's Advocate gimmick and was very sad to see the gimmick crushed. That Piper pairing was horrendous, he deserved better.

Serial woman beater. But WWE totes dropped the ball or something.

Austin beat his wife too yet that's seldom used against him.

Polumbo and O'Haires invasion debut is among my favourite memories in wrestling. The sheer chaos going on and then Sean hits the most graceful Swanton , or Seanton, among it all. Agree about the advocate gimmick, always viewed it as an Anti-CM Punk type deal. Liked his work I must say.

BTW my use of the term abandoned was only cos I had used it also when referring to his gimmick and perhaps wasn't the best choice as I wouldn't say the wwe abandoned him but I did think something must a been up backstage cos yeah him with piper bombed but he seemed to have enough potential (still not sure why they repackaged him from the devils advocate gimmick ) that you wouldn't have expected him to be out the door (via ovw) afterwards. Did read about his issues with women but hadn't heard it was the reason for his departure

Was a fan for sure - he had IT. WWE didn't seem to think so though. Real shame RIP

Ah thats crap news. He was the one of the standout WCW stars of the invasion angle. Saw him wrestle Bradshaw at a house show in Connecticut back in 2001. The Seanton bomb was amazing. Such potential, real shame he never made it bigger

When/where? Only thing I can recall is the PW Torch phone-in show a few months back. (It should be used against him fwiw)

In fairness anytime someone says a wrestler was a wife beater people instantly go "well Austin was to but it's never held against him " always happens, happend in a recent thread too.

Sean o' haire was always decent enough, but it's horrible that dying at 43 in wrestling dosnt surprise me and for some reason I thought he had died before, so I was more shocked that he was still alive till the past few days. Terrible state of mind to be in.

    Putting aside allegations above...

Always saddened to hear of a wrestler dying at an early age, and I did think that the character and the ability of the man deserved more attention and a push. Fair enough if there were background problems but I can't think of many more wrestlers who made such a massive impact on me in a short, short space of time, in terms of what I saw in ring and on TV.

    Shame :(

    Jaysus, another one gone. :(

Was surprised he didn't get the chance in WWE. He had the size and the look for sure.

He was really agile and moved well for his size too.

    RIP.

I was under the impression he could do a shooting star press but I can't seem to find any evidence of it.

Guy had a great look and seemed to be pretty agile but he fell off the face of the earth after WWE, wasn't he doing security work and the like? I'd say he had a fair bit of trouble backstage to never get any kind of sustained push.

Very sad to see him go. Thought himself and Palumbo made a great tag team, and it was a shame WWE didn't keep them together a lot longer.

Very sad, great look for Wrestling..not aware of his personal problems, but never nice to hear of this!!!

Shame when anybody dies, even sadder when it's at a young age. Your early 40's is no age to go...

Smashing reply. It's brushed under the rug as far as most fans are concerned. The only thing he gets/got stick over was 'taking his ball and going home'.

Cut out the short, dismissive contrarian responses. It's not informative nor does it promote positive discussion.

    Please don't thread-spoil, keep the thread on-topic.

Not being contrarian. Austin's background does come up on this forum a lot. I thought more people would remember/know that hence why I felt I didn't to go into great detail. I was NOT being dismissive. Like Reganio said:

If anything I was crediting people with a better memory than they perhaps actually have.

I don't know how pointing out a man with personal problems that lead to the end of his career, being arrested three times and maybe the cause of his death is "thread spoiling."

I don't remember even taking this thread off topic either.

I liked the Devil's Advocate vignettes and his spin kicks too but I did follow his post WWE career and tailspin. I associate this guy fighting in K1 with him as much as his very brief WCW & WWE stints:

I watched him in New Japan too. He had a match with Tanahashi that I can't find online currently.

Reganio 2's post should be enough. I don't want to be accused of derailing threads.

What are your thoughts on Sean on Propane Nightmare? You haven't added them.

TMZ says they are waiting on the toxicology report and no foul play is suspected

At the end of the NXT conference call and on Twitter Triple H extended his condolences. Thought it was part classy, part him setting up in his role as the future principal person in WWE.

What was his cause of death anyone?

12:50 PM PT -- According to local police, O'Haire was found in his bedroom, beside his bed, with a red rope tied around his neck and connected to the bedpost.

    R.I.P Sean

That Mr America storyline with him, Piper and Hogan was brilliant.
