Bit of an odd one here.

Does anyone know anything about a 6 wheeled Hilux based car transporter?

I saw one in Limerick city recently, it had a Toyota Hilux front with a lowered bed like a car trailer and two back axles. Wasn't carrying anything but looked like a very neat (if a little wide) way to transport a car.

Just wondering if these are conversions or was it a one-off?
First time I've seen something completely new to me on the roads in a while!

For all intensive purposes it looked like this except a Hilux pickup front

*mods i really didnt know where to put this thread! thought general motors was best...

But the one I saw (wish I took a photo) was nothing like those arctic ones. To describe it a bit more it was basically a car trailer mated to the rear chassis rails of a late 90s hilux, with two wheels running outside the trailer part. It also had twin exhausts running vertically behind the cab.

the arctic ones still have the full pickup body.

Very similar to the one I posted above except obviously a Hilux ..

Using front wheel drive only, with the four rear wheels trailing.

Looked substantial enough to have been driven, but this thing passed me on the street at night so I didn't get a full look.
Then again it may have been FWD..

Their was a Dark Blue Izuzu on DoneDeal exactly as you described a few months back.

Was a single cab 3.5T with a twin axle beavertail with ramp.

Must have been an Isuzu then lads!
I had in my head it was an older Hilux at the front, and that the bed was lower. My memory was obviously playing tricks on me...!
