I'm looking to self build on family land and so is my brother. Budget for each house is 300k. How much could we expect to save each by putting both houses out for tender together?

Are you looking at attaching them together as semi d's or as 2 independent freestanding houses?

There will be certainly some saving building the two together, with the same contractor, at the same time. As to how much that saving would be...hard to tell.

the saving will only be in terms of preliminaries and the like as most items will not in the main vary depending on quantity unless its substantial.
