Problems with high CPU in my Toshiba Satellite C850-1PM

    Hi there,

I'm having trouble with the CPU in my Toshiba Satellite C850-1PM. It's currently running 8.1. Basically when I click control alt delete, it says disk space is running at high 90-100% but if I scroll down the total mbs in the column is about 20mb.

I reinstalled a printer driver yesterday so not sure is there a connection. Currently running a sfc/ scannow to see if that brings up anything.

Any help in the meantime would be greatly appreciated!

I'd open task manager, select the Details tab and see is there any processes taking up a lot of CPU power that you dont recognise - Google the process name to find out what it is. Click on the CPU column to sort items by %. Could be a virus running or something. Run a virus scan and also download Malwarebytes Free and run that.

Thanks. Doesn't seem to be any malware. Ran a few malware software earlier and didn't come up with anything. Any idea what else I could try?
