    08, 1.8 mondeo, two belt job.

    Getting quotes for around 950 with parts and vat from main dealers.

    Dublin, Cork or Kerry is best location for me.

    Is that not 3-400 over the odds(however not familiar with fords or how long it takes) ? Get quotes from a few independent mechanics too.

    Above was cheapest for me. Actually recommended by a different garage I had rang that were well off the mark. Different car to yours but still worth a call.

    Local guys saying 850 and above. But they hate doing it. Specialists tools etc.


    It's a full days work for someone.

    They are nowhere near as bad to do as some people make them out to be. We do them for €650 which I think is a fair price based on the parts and labour involved. There must be somebody down your way who will do it for a similar price if you shop around.
